Start with the
right licence.
Alberta requires a Class 1, 2 or 4 licence for transportation network company drivers. A regular Class 5 is not sufficient.

- A commercial licence is required before you can carry passengers through a transportation network company.
- A Police Information Check
- Alberta’s requirements include a Vulnerable Sector Screen on the initial application.
Your vehicle and coverage
- Commercial registration and insurance
- Your vehicle needs commercial registration and plates, with insurance that covers TNC driving.
- Vehicle and local approval
- Applicable Camrose requirements and GooseCabs vehicle approval also need to be met. The full checklist will be published before onboarding opens.
